What does OCD feel like from the inside, and how does that experience compare with a clinician’s understanding of the condition? The Spiral explores this question through conversations with a person living with OCD and a psychiatrist.
Bringing these perspectives together, the film examines what goes on in the mind of someone experiencing OCD and how they describe it in their own words. Alongside this personal account, a psychiatrist offers a professional perspective on the condition, inviting viewers to consider the relationship between lived experience and clinical understanding.
I wrote, directed and edited the film, bringing both perspectives into a shared exploration of OCD.
